Running from 19th-21st August, the free festival will be the perfect way to round off the summer, reflect on topical issues and experience this outdoor cinema with a difference. The documentaries developed by National Geographic, Procter & Gamble and Global Citizen will feature well known activists such as Hugh Jackman, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Pharrell Williams and Usher telling their stories and showcasing the work that is being done to combat extreme poverty and inspire a global movement. In Keeping Girls In School, Priyanka Chopra Jonas joins Global Citizen and activists around the globe as they campaign to break down barriers to girls’ education. Meanwhile, Gayle King and Bonang Matheba rally tens of thousands of people to call on the South African government to commit $58 million towards ending ‘period poverty’ & providing girls with the menstrual education & resources they need to stay in school & stay confident. The film is free to attend, and seating is on a first-come, first served basis. Screenings will happen on the outdoor screen whatever the weather, so come prepared!
