Fitzrovia Youth In Action

Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA) is a youth action charity that empowers children and young people to overcome the barriers they face, fulfil their potential and create positive change in their local community.

FYA was launched in 1997 following the success of a community football tournament that brought together young people, adult residents and local business.

Over the last 15 years, the charity has grown into an organisation that offers children and young people a broad range of youth-led volunteering activities and employability support.

Every year FYA brings together and supports hundreds of disadvantaged children and young people in tackling the issues that matter to them in the community they care about. They take a “youth action” approach, ensuring children and young people are actively involved in each stage of our activities. Recent activities led by children and young people have addressed community cohesion, conflict, and substance misuse.
