As part of our Shaped by Design season for Autumn 2017 we are delighted to present LINES ACROSS // LONDON, an exhibition by architectural photographer Alan Williams, which will be installed on 2 October.
Honour Oak Reservoir, alanwilliamsphotography.com
Presented as a journey across the capital, this new display looks at London from unique angles, uncovering a surprising perspective on often inaccessible spaces, both below and above ground as well as trackside. Presenting penthouses and clock-towers alongside the city’s subterranean infrastructure, these images reveal the unlikely and yet charming sightlines that exist in a densely layered capital city, whilst inviting us to explore the relationships between them.

Each of our light cubes travels with the viewer to present work from three unique series by Alan Williams: UpShot and Sub-Urban which showcase viewpoints from high above London and from underneath the city’s surface plus Sidetrack, a sequence on hidden spaces alongside the DLR.
