Looking to jazz up your next manicure? We are constantly striving for something new, something personalised, something unique – in the beauty business, the go to way of achieving such desirable talons is nail art.

With the highest skill levels (and patience!), celebrity nail artists have shot to fame in their own right, with the likes of Madeline Poole, Chelsea King and Tom Bachik each having an Instagram following of over 100K followers.

So what’s the must have trends for autumn 2017?

Jewels – add an extra sparkle to an otherwise basic colour with miniature gems. We love these metallic and monochrome gems.

The Black Stripe – Apply a black stripe to the edge of your nails for a 3D effect. Tip: use a black marker pen if you haven’t got the steadiest hand!

Autumn Florals – Turn a traditionally summery print into a moody autumn design using muted darker tones and sparse delicately drawn flowers.

Monogram Nails – You can’t get more personalised than spelling out your own name! Purchase alphabet stickers from nail art / beauty stockists for quick and easy application.

Rose Gold Chrome – The chrome nail trend isn’t disappearing any time soon, shy away from bright gold and silvers and opt for a sophisticated rose gold.

OK, so unless you shell out a small fortune to get these done by a professional, how can you get in on and embrace nail art for the most enviable manicure in the office? We can help!

As part of our ‘Shaped by Design’ series of events in which we are helping you realise your creativity and love for all things design, we are hosting our very first Nail Art workshop. Hosted by two professionals, come along on your lunch break and learn industry tips and tricks to add that extra wow factor to your nails. Each attendee even gets a nail varnish to take home with them. Click here to find out how to register.
