UCH Cancer Fund

The University College Hospital (UCH) Cancer Fund was established to enhance the services and environment for cancer patients, their relatives and carers and to give them a better experience during one of the most difficult times in their lives. We rely on voluntary donations to provide care and support above and beyond what the NHS is able to fund. Our particular focus is on raising funds for our Support and Information Service in the Cancer Centre which is located on Huntley Street. This service provides practical, emotional and social support which is offered free of charge to patients and their carers. Last year, the service received over 16,000 visits providing a range of services such as welfare and benefits advice, psychological support, complementary therapies, yoga, art therapy, creative writing as well as support groups for specific cancers.

As the majority of our patients come from central and north London, we are keen to reach out to companies in the local area and encourage them to support local residents who are living with cancer. We work with companies to create a bespoke partnership which will raise the company’s profile in the local area and engage staff in fundraising, teambuilding and volunteering activities.

If you would like further information about the UCH Cancer Fund please contact Margaret Ruttle at [email protected] or 020 3447 1884 or visit us.
