Amazon’s checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by the same types of technologies used in self-driving cars: computer vision, sensor fusion and deep learning. Just Walk Out Technology automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual basket.

It’s easy to shop.

All you need is an Amazon account and the Amazon mobile app.  Once logged into the Amazon App, tap the basket icon and click ‘Fresh Code’ to get your QR code, scan it at the gates to enter. Once you've scanned the QR code on the Amazon app over the scanner, you can put your phone away and shop like normal. When you're done shopping, just walk on out. No queues, no waiting. It's that easy. There are staff on hand at the Amazon store to help if you need.
