This hands on introduction to fermenting workshop will provide you with the tools and knowledge to start experimenting with fermentation at home. You'll make your own ferment in a jar, and take home recipes and instructions.
The fresh produce used will come directly from Square Mile Farm's rooftop farm in Paddington Central.
Fermented foods are rich in beneficial probiotics and are associated with a wide range of benefits such as improved digestion and stronger immunity. A wide variety of foods can be fermented - yoghurt into kefir, cabbage into sauerkraut and fruit into kvaas - to name a few. Adding herbs and spices such as turmeric or cinnamon will give your ferment a real boost in health benefits.
Square Mile Farms are on a mission to bring farming to the workplace. They install vertical farms and productive green spaces in work spaces so individuals can take home deliciously fresh produce every day.
Doors open 6pm, workshop begins at 6.15pm.
