Christmas 2020: The Giving Trees

2021 Update

Thank you to everyone that contributed to the Giving Trees on the Plaza or online. Donations totalled over £2,300 which will go towards Camden Giving's mission to tackle inequality in the borough during and after the pandemic by supporting services that matter most to local people; everything from baby banks, winter night shelters, opportunities for young people and training.

The donations to Fitzrovia Youth in Action helped to make a positive impact on over 1000 people  in the local area, bringing joy through their Christmas to Your Door initiative. Across three days, 58 youth action volunteers and Community Champions supported the delivery of 600 hampers on foot and by bicycle and car.

Christmas to Your Door not only brought a smile to those who received a hamper, but also to the volunteers, who were able to connect in person (although socially distanced), wearing festive hats and Christmas lights and playing festive songs recorded by young performers to spread festive joy as they delivered.

"It's lovely to know that young people care for older people and the meal and lovely gifts has really cheered me up a lot!"

Winter 2020

We all know that between the lights, presents and festive celebrations, the holiday season can be a difficult time for many, and with the ongoing pandemic our community is under more pressure than ever before.

So this Christmas Regent’s Place will be (safely) celebrating our incredible local community. With a festive canopy of lights, sustainably sourced Christmas trees and a contactless donation point, this winter is all about spreading cheer and saying thank you to our local community.

The Giving Tree

Head to the Regent’s Place Plaza and you'll discover a beautiful canopy of lights and a cluster of sustainably sourced Giving Trees where you can make a contactless donation to Camden Giving.

Your donations will help Camden Giving sustain their mission to tackle inequality in the borough during and after the pandemic by supporting services that matter most to local people; everything from baby banks, winter night shelters, opportunities for young people and training.

Donations are £5 but you can also increase this to £10 or £20 if you can. British Land will be match funding all donations up to £1,000.

If you can't make it down to the Plaza this winter you can also donate online here

Community Partners

This winter we can't support our community partners with the usual christmas lunches, performances and activities that bring us together, so instead we have donated funds to different projects over the festive season including;
