How to do Ginuary in style

You might be hitting the gym, finding new creative ideas but let’s not forget the joy that is Ginuary: a whole month dedicated to discovering new flavours, artisan producers, gin cocktails and products inspired by the world’s greatest spirit.

With sales of flavoured gins increasing by 751% in 2019, the “ginaissance” is set to go even bigger in 2020 – so here’s some of the best gin palaces to discover this month (please drink responsibly though).

The Refinery at Regent’s Place

At The Refinery, they’re asking “Do you know your Tanqueray from your Hendrick’s and which tonic to pair it with? We have a handy guide to help you choose the right tonic for your favourite gin.”

They’re also launching the excellent ‘Try January’, so you can explore Seedlip and Fatty’s Organic Pink Grapefruit with only 20% ABV – which is much lower than the standard gin.

The Union

Forget the cold, long days of winter and head to The Union for a warm welcome and some incredibly good gin cocktails. Sink into the perfect Negroni of gin, Campari and vermouth or go for a Long Island Iced Tea with gin, rum, lime and lashings of ginger beer. They’ve also got a host of artisan gins from around the world so just chat to the friendly bartender for ideas on trying something new.
